Barbara Jacak Named Distinguished Professor at Stony Brook
Barbara Jacak, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University and PHENIX spokesperson since December, 2006, was appointed to the rank of Distinguished Professor earlier this month, in recognition of her contributions to heavy ion physics and the RHIC program. Here is the announcement from the State University of New York.
New Online Journal on QCD Matter
A new online journal on QCD matter initiated by Steffen Bass and Berndt Mueller of Duke University, and Bill Zajc of Columbia University has begun publication here. Bill Zajc writes, "While the effort is still at the beginning stage, we hope that students and postdocs particular will find it useful."
