Holiday Party Sponsored by the Association for Students And Postdocs

While vacation/holiday time is approaching, we would like to remind you that there will still be people at the lab who are taking data or who are too financially crunched to go away this holiday season, most of them students or postdocs.
The Association for Students And Postdocs (ASAP) is organizing a holiday celebration/dinner in the BNL Rec Center on December 24 at 9 p.m. All people on site on December 24 are invited, however, the ASAP needs an RSVP so that they can plan accordingly. Please send your responses to Astrid Morreale (astrid@bnl.gov) if you plan to attend the dinner.
While ASAP will handle the food, we would ask people attending to bring a small wrapped gift to the holiday party. We will then pick/exchange gifts and put some of them to good use right away (e.g. games).

The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National
Laboratory is a world-class scientific research facility primarily
funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science. Hundreds
of physicists from around the world use RHIC to study what the
universe may have looked like in the first few moments after its
creation. What physicists learn from these collisions may help us
understand more about why the physical world works the way it does,
from the smallest subatomic particles, to the largest stars.
