Spin Physics at RHIC I:  First Results and Status of the First Polarized Proton Collider

Location:  Large Conference Room, Bldg. 490

Date:  May 10, 2004

Organizers:  Matthias Grosse Perdekamp, Stefan Kretzer, Werner Vogelsang, Greg Rakness, Akio Ogawa

Local Contact:  Akio Ogawa

Description:  We review the present status for the polarized proton program at RHIC. The workshop will include a discussion of the initial physics results from the pp2pp, STAR and PHENIX collaborations as well as the progress in accelerating

polarized protons and polarimetry. The workshop will include a discussion of plans for the next polarized proton run in 2005.
