| Modern Hands-on Physics
Communication
This workshop is meant to introduce communities across the Laboratory
to modern physics education and outreach developments that make science
communication fun and interactive. Participants will learn about:
- Developing weeklong courses at BNL for science educators to work
and learn with scientists on site.
- Promoting teacher and student participation in large-scale
international physics experiments – from detector construction to
data collection and interpretation.
- Using videoconferencing and other cyber technologies to enable
new modes of data transfer and analysis for unprecedented classroom
access to large-scale experiments.
