Sounds Around

This program combines literature with interactive experiences that allow students to discover how sound is made and how it travels. Students will also see, hear, and feel the effects of sound waves!
 

  • Available in July and August 2012

  • Recommended for grades 1-4

  • Program length: 1 hour

  • Minimum 15, maximum 30 students

  • $250 per hour session

  • Programs are developed in accordance with the National Science Education Standards

DOE, Office of Science One of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security.
