
Mircea Cotlet is a scientist in the Soft and Biological Nanomaterials team at the Center for Functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Laboratory
and
an Adjunct Professor in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at SUNY
Stony Brook, New York. Mircea's
research focuses on time-resolved single molecule optical studies of
hybrid nanomaterials applicable to optoelectronics and biosensing. He has co-authored over
60 peer-reviewed papers in the field of single
molecule spectroscopy (h-impact factor 31), 2 patent disclosure applications and presented over
20 invited talks. He is member of the editorial board of Spectroscopy: An
International Journal and The Open Chemical Physics Journal. (complete list of publications)
Dr. Cotlet manages the single molecule spectroscopy facility at the Center for Functional Nanomaterials
(CFN) at BNL.
