The Single Molecule Spectroscopy facility is part of the Soft Bio Nanomaterials team of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials at BNL.
The optical microscopy
instruments of the Single Molecule Spectroscopy facility can be accessed
through the CFN user program at no cost. Details on how to become a CFN user can
be found at http://www.bnl.gov/cfn/user/.
You can also contact us directly in case you have specific questions. We provide
training and assistance in the use of the microscopes as well expertise in the
case of collaborative user projects. We accommodate two types of users:
- regular users: these are users that require
the use of our instruments without any intellectual involvement
from our side. Any publication reporting data acquired on our
instruments must acknowledge the use of our facility in the
following format "Research carried out (in whole or in part) at
the Center for Functional Nanomaterials, Brookhaven National
Laboratory, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy,
Office of Basic Energy Sciences, under Contract No.
DE-AC02-98CH10886."
- users collaborators : these are users that
require the use of our instruments and our particular expertise
in the field of optical microscopy, including single molecule
experiments. such collaboration usually results in joint
publications. If you are interested in such collaboration,
please contact us directly at cotlet@bnl.gov.
