Technology MaturationThe Technology Maturation Program is designed to allow BNL researchers to perform additional research and development on promising technologies. This funding is intended to move promising research discoveries from the laboratory stage to a real world “proof of concept” stage, and to a degree of development sufficient to create partner interest toward successful deployment. As a result of the maturation project, a BNL technology will be supported by useful new data and a clearer demonstration of its potential utility, making the technology more attractive to potential partners or follow-on funding. There are two categories of maturation proposals: less than $50K and over $50K, and project duration may be up to two years. There is special emphasis on “seed funding” through smaller projects.
