Responsibilities

Include evaluation of technologies for patentability and commercial potential, patent prosecution, and licensing of inventions from the Center for Functional Nanomaterials, Condensed Matter Physics and Material Science Department, Nuclear Science and Technology Department, Nonproliferation and National Security Department, Instrumentation Division, Superconducting Magnet Department, Accelerator Division, Photon Division, and Sustainable Energy Department.

Experience

Prior to joining Brookhaven Lab, Kimberley had a varied international career, working in a dozen countries on four continents. She was a newspaper reporter for a daily newspaper; a staff scientist at Charles Evans & Associates, a California-based materials analysis company; a business development manager at Conductus, Inc., a high-technology start-up firm in California; a marketing director at Aptilon Health, a health care start-up company in Canada; a senior consultant at Strategic Decisions Group, and, most recently, a patent agent at Zagorin O’Brien Graham LLC, a law firm in Austin, Texas.
