Below
is a list of training courses that you will need to complete
in order to work in our lab. You can get into the
Training
Website by using your BNL identification number and your
birthdate (if you have any questions about training please
contact Ann Emrick at (631)344-5756 or emrick@bnl.gov.
These
courses are all required and can be found on the training website
under
Web Training Courses:
Guest Site Orientation Cybersecurity
General Employee Radiation Training (not that you will work with
anything radioactive but this will give you a general awareness of what all the postings mean)
Laboratory Standard
Hazardous Waste Generator
Regulated Medical Waste Mgmt
Compressed Gas Safety
Cryogen Safety
Preclinical BLAF Training (here take all courses except the "Primate
Safety" titled course).
If
you will work with animals you should also complete the animal
training, please contact the BLAF Director MaryAnn
Kershaw at (631)344-3620 or kershaw@bnl.gov
If you will be doing work with radioligands you must complete
the following 2 safety classes (Radiological Worker I (HP-RWT002)
and Benchtop/Dispersibles (HP-RWT-500). Please check the following
link for
the first available class and email to reserve a seat in the class.
