Steve Chassman, Clinical Program Director for LICADD, the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, talks about why people take opiate drugs, how they get hooked and engagement and intervention strategies for adolescents and their families. This lecture was presented for the benefit of staff as part of the Laboratory's Employee Assistance Program.
