  1. Chemistry celebration: Development of the 18FDG Method

    On Friday, October 19, 2012, the New York Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) named Brookhaven Lab's Chemistry Building an Historic Chemical Landmark, in recognition of the synthesis of 18FDG, the first successful radiotracer for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. As part of the celebration, Louis Sokoloff, M.D., of the Laboratory of Cerebral Metabolism, National Institute of Mental Health, recorded a talk titled, "Development of the 18FDG Method: A Serendipitous Journey from Bench to Bedside."   Read more
