On Friday, October 19, 2012, the New York Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) named Brookhaven Lab's Chemistry Building an Historic Chemical Landmark, in recognition of the synthesis of 18FDG, the first successful radiotracer for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. As part of the celebration, Mony J. DeLeon, Ed.D., from the Department of Psychiatry at New York University Medical Center, gave a talk titled, "Alzheimer's disease." Read more
