Accommodations

It is your responsibility to reserve your own accommodations.

BNL does not provide shuttle service to and from area hotels. Since there is no public transportation to BNL, attendees are strongly advised to make car rental arrangements prior to arrival.

Event Hotels

The Hampton Inn and the Crowne Plaza are extending special rates to Academy participants. When booking a room, you must guarantee your room with a credit card. Any cancellations need to be made at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled arrival.

Lodging at Brookhaven (on-site housing)

Brookhaven has limited onsite accommodations which will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the BNL Housing Office directly to make your own on-site reservation. Please see the section below called "Other Nearby Hotels" for a complete list of area hotels.

Note: All participants (U.S. and Non-U.S. Citizens) planning to stay on-site must be registered and approved in the Guest Information System (GIS). Please complete this process as soon as possible to ensure sufficient time for approval. The link to GIS will be provided to you after you have registered for this event.

• A block of rooms have been reserved under NY Wildfire Academy, confirmation number: 219858.
• All reservations are guaranteed and must be paid if not cancelled by 1:00 pm on the day of arrival.
• Fees for on-site lodging are paid directly to the Housing Office, Building 400, upon check-in. Cash checks, travelers checks or credit cards (Visa, Amex, MasterCard) are accepted.

The following hotels are the closest to Brookhaven National Laboratory in distance (approx. 15-45 minutes in driving time). Please note, a major credit card will be necessary to hold your reservations until you check in. Brookhaven National Laboratory is located on William Floyd Parkway, County Road 46, 1 1/2 miles north of Exit 68 of the Long Island Expressway; hotel locations are given by exit number. Exit numbers below 68 are west of BNL; exit numbers above 68 are east of BNL. Please note, it is your responsibility to call the local hotels directly and make your own reservation.
