A primary caregiver is someone who is responsible for the health and well-being of another on a daily basis.

Caregiver Impact Survey

To better understand the challenges Brookhaven employees have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Human Resources Directorate conducted a “Caregiver Impact Survey.” A primary caregiver is defined as someone who is responsible for the health and well-being of another on a daily basis. This can be a young or adult child, a parent, or another older person. Typically this person lives in the same household as the caregiver, but that's not always the case.

Brookhaven Parent Support Group on Microsoft Teams

This group is designed to give Brookhaven Lab parents some support during this trying time. Teleworking or working as an essential employee and homeschooling or simply keeping your baby or toddler entertained all day can be very challenging. We share tips, tricks, and information geared toward Lab employees with children. Whether it's how to throw a quarantine birthday party or how to keep your school-aged child motivated, or simply how do I get through the day, this is the place to share! Join the group.

If you can help contribute to the single-parent sub-group with advice or even ideas and questions, please contact Chris Pontieri, Laura Loudenslager, or Will Safer.
