AAAG Black History Month Event: A Conversation with Walter Massey, 2/8

As part of the Lab's celebration of Black History Month in February, the Brookhaven Lab African American Advancement Group (AAAG) will host a virtual conversation with Walter E. Massey, a trailblazer in the sciences and the arts, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at noon.

Massey was the first African American director of Argonne National Lab, and has also been director of the National Science Foundation.

His career has been dedicated to promoting science and technology as necessary to improve quality of life, and the intersections of science, technology, and the arts as critical for innovation. He is committed to strengthening the country through racial and social equality by ensuring active inclusion, access to quality education, and mentorship for women and underrepresented minorities particularly in STEM fields.
