DOE Germantown Wi-Fi Guest Network

Q. What device types are supported in the DOE Germantown Wi-Fi Guest Network?

A. There are no specific restrictions to the types of devices users may connect to EITS-managed wireless networks, so long as these devices are not simultaneously connected to a wired network connection. Any commercially available portable device that is listed as supporting 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi networking should be capable of operating successfully on EITS-managed wireless networks. Customers have reported success with Blackberry, Android, iPhone, iPad and many different laptop models.

Quick Start Instructions

Requirements: Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Mac OS X

  1. Select "DOEGUEST" from the list of available wireless networks
  2. Enter the shared key when prompted, "energy.wireless"
  3. You can now use the Internet
