The annual RHIC & AGS Users' Meeting will be held on June 25-28,
2013 at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The theme of this year’s
meeting is "Accelerating Discovery: A Collider for Hot Science”. The
meeting will touch on topics that highlight RHICs unique capabilities to
discover the novel properties of hot and cold QCD matter. Workshops will
be held on June 25 and June 26 where new results from d+Au, U+U, and
Cu+Au runs, highlighting the flexibility of RHIC, will be discussed.
Workshops will also be held on the spin of the proton, hard probes in
heavy ions, non-equilibrium effects at RHIC and the LHC and forward
upgrades to STAR and PHENIX.
The plenary sessions; will include a special half-day plenary session on
the afternoon of June 26 on “nuclear physics at a glance” with speakers
invited from each of the major nuclear physics sub-fields. The plenary
sessions on June 27 and 28 will include talks on RHIC Run 13, the latest
physics results from STAR and PHENIX, upgrade plans, reports from
representatives from the funding agencies, and Theses Award
presentations.
