BERA Trips


Reservations, Cancellations & Rules for Participation
  • Paid reservations are required for all trips listed below. They can be made at the BERA Store located in Berkner (Bldg 488), Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm.
  • All tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and are for those 21 years and older unless accompanied by BNL employee/parent.
  • BERA may limit the number of tickets per person during the first week of sales.
  • BERA trips are a BNL benefit and tickets are for BNL employees, those with guest appointments, and their families only.
  • BERA must sell at least 30 train tickets to get the discounted fare, or the trip is subject to cancellation.
  • If we don't get the required number of tickets sold for the discounted group price, we will cancel the show.

BERA and LIRR (Various Times)

  BERA and the LIRR have teamed up to offer discount round trip tickets to NYC from Patchogue. The train departs at 8:43am unless otherwise noted. The dates for the LIRR Trains are as follows:

  • May 12, 2018   - TRAIN CANCELED!

  • July 15, 2018
  • August 11, 2018  - 10:35am Train
  • SEPTEMBER DATE - TBD

 Join BERA on a train to the HighLine and the Whitney Museum. Departs on the 8:43am train from Patchogue. Tickets are $34 would includes museum admission and LIRR Transportation.

Yankess vs. Houston Astros (World Series Champs) - 6.35pm game. Section 234. $69pp. 45 tickets. We will depart Brookhaven Center at 3:45pm and depart the game at about 10pm (Red Carpet Bus)

Freedom is the ultimate rush. Volta tells a spellbinder story about the freedom to choose and the thrill of blazing your own trail. Inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of action sports, the show weaves acrobatics in a visually striking world driven by a stirring melodic score. $75pp. Departs Brookhaven Center at 3pm. Departs after the 4:30pm show at Nassau Colieseum around 6:30pm.

  Join BERA for the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan. $47pp includes round trip on the 8:43am train out of Patchogue and the 2 and a half hour cruise. After the cruise, you are free to do as you please around NYC. The child price on the Circle Line for children 3-12 years of age is $34 per child. Under 3 is free on the Circle Line.

  Join BERA on July 28 for a "Do as you please" bus trip to Central Park. Leave BNL at 8am and return to BNL at 5pm. $26 per seat includes luxury coach bus and driver tip.

Prepare to see Central Park in a dramatically different way, as you search for secrets and uncover uncommon sights on a scavenger hunt. The historic park has many distinct places and personalities as the city itself. Take the coatch bus from BNL at 8am to Central Park. After the hour hunt, you are free to do as you please in Central Park. $60 per person.

Register now for the 2018 Marcum Workplace Challenge at Jones Beach on July 31. Join the thousands of walkers and runners from major (and minor) companies on Long Island. The 3.5 mile run starts at 7pm and is followed by a wonderful picnic. Free school bus transportation available from and to the Lab on a first come, first serve basis. Colleagues and family are welcome to attend! Picnic details and cost to be announced soon.

   Dear Evan Hansen has struck a remarkable chord for audiences and critics everywhere. Take the LIRR to see the musical. $155 per person includes LIRR tickets and Rear Mezzanine seats for the show. Details and tickets at the BERA Store, Bldg. 488. We will take the 10:20am train out of Patchogue.
