UPTON, NY –The U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory will hold a concert called “Musical Solstice” on Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m. in the Laboratory’s Berkner Hall. The musical showcase will feature Brookhaven Lab employees expressing their musical talents to raise funds for the United Way of Long Island, a charitable organization that supports the services and programs of 180 health and human service agencies in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Featured performers will be: Pamela Betti and the Bluebloods, playing blues and rock and roll; Kristhen, featuring Henry and Kristy Diaz singing and playing holiday music with acoustic guitar accompaniment; Joe Vignola, playing acoustic country blues; and the Tim Caufield Group, a jazz trio.

Tickets cost $5 per person and may be purchased in advance from the Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association Sales Office in the Laboratory’s Berkner Hall on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also, tickets will be on sale at the door on the evening of the performance.
