Experimental Validation

Theorists and experimentalists interact within Comscope on various levels and generate valuable synergies. On one hand, Comsuite codes are experimentally validated by comparing theoretical spectroscopies to measured spectroscopic data, and on the other hand, by material simulations that can guide experimentalists in the search for new functional materials. At BNL and Rutgers, Comsuite simulations support experimentalists to solve the puzzle of the extraordinary large thermopower in FeSb2 and in the discovery of new strongly correlated colossal thermoelectric materials. Experiments range from materials synthesis and characterization to material spectroscopies, including ARPES, Optics, and RIXS.
