Mark Dean

experimentalist

Mark Dean is an experimental physicist in the x-ray scattering group at Brookhaven National Laboratory and has been associated with Comscope since its foundation. His research focuses on resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) studies of strongly correlated materials, such as transition metal oxides both in bulk and heterostructure forms. For Comscope, he experimentally verifies theoretical RIXS predictions which are obtained with the computer codes of Yilin Wang. Mark Dean currently holds an Department of Energy Early Career Award.
