Vaccination Requirements
For BSA Staff
To create a safe work environment, all Brookhaven Lab/Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA) staff who did not apply for an exemption must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered fully vaccinated, you must have received your final vaccine dose and had your status validated by the Lab's Occupational Medicine Clinic.
For Laboratory Guests
The Laboratory is in Normal Operations mode. All scientific users and guests must be vaccinated or be undergoing weekly COVID-19 testing.

Workplace Safety and Reentry Plan
The DOE COVID-19 Workplace Safety Framework outlines requirements to protect the health and safety of the workforce and to enable the safe accomplishment of the DOE mission in a COVID-19 environment. Our Workplace Safety and Reentry Plan meets the requirements of the DOE Framework and the BNL Prime Contract.

Time Card Reporting
Two new time-reporting codes were developed for the emergency operating period and should be used as appropriate when filling out your time card. No-VPN and no-internet scenarios are covered.

Face Coverings
CDC-designated Community Levels for Suffolk County determine whether face coverings are required on the Brookhaven Lab site or within Lab facilities, regardless of an individual's vaccination status. Current requirements are consistent with our Workplace Safety and Reentry Plan.

Telework & Remote Work
To maintain productivity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lab has expanded its Flexible Work Arrangement policies. Employees have access to a list of remote work IT resources that will help them work from an off-site location.

Daily Pre-entry Screening
Staff no longer need to display the site entry self-check placard when they enter the Lab site. However, we recommend that you continue to complete the self-check before coming to the Lab, and stay home if you have a fever or are experiencing any COVID 19-related symptoms.
