Use of the Electric Fence Library

Memory overrun and accessing freed memory in user codes are not rare bugs. Since compilers are not able to warn about these and the code usually runs without any problem and produces answers, even correct answers sometimes, it is not an easy task to detect such a bug. The Electric Fence library helps to detect such problems and I found it very useful in developing codes. The basic usage will be demonstrated along with the ddd debugger.
