2008 Summer Internship Closing Ceremonies, 8/14

As the 2008 summer internship programs draw to a close, the Office of Educational Programs (OEP) invites the Lab community to attend the poster sessions, oral presentations, and closing ceremony.
Wednesday, August 13
From 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m., all are encouraged to attend a poster session in the lobby of Berkner Hall. Students will be available to discuss their research during this time.
Thursday, August 14
From 9-11:45 a.m., students will give brief oral presentations on their research in several locations on site according to topic:
- Biology/Medical in the large conference room of Building 490
- Physics in the auditorium of Building 510
- Chemistry in the auditorium of Building 555
- Environmental/Engineering/Other in the auditorium of Berkner Hall
A second poster session will take place in the lobby of Berkner Hall from 12:30-1:45 p.m.
From 2-4 p.m., the closing ceremony will take place in the auditorium of Berkner Hall. Speakers will include DOE Brookhaven Site Office Manager Michael Holland, Laboratory Director Samuel Aronson, U.S. Congressional Representative Tim Bishop, and keynote speaker Jeff Pon, DOE Chief Human Capital Officer. Refreshments will follow.
