New York Regional Energy-Water Workshop
A Joint BNL, Columbia University and EPRI Workshop
April 20, 2004 - The Earth Institute at Columbia University
The Earth Institute at Columbia (CEI), Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) invite you to a New York Regional Energy-Water Workshop to be held on April 20, 2004 at Columbia University’s Alfred Lerner Hall. Similar workshops have been held in Albuquerque, NM and Pittsburgh, PA around the critical interactions of energy and water. The immediate goal of these workshops is to develop understanding among energy and water stakeholders of the critical issues in their regions, leading to the development of regional and national research and development programs in this area.
Our goal for this New York workshop is to examine the most pressing regional energy and water issues in New York, explore the links between the supply of and demand for energy and water, and identify how stakeholder planning, and research and development can guarantee that future New Yorkers will have access to plentiful, clean and safe water and energy.
