Counting house computer lay out map (incl console)

The console layout of monitors and computers in the counting house is at this link.

Cable Trays

The cable tray layout was used to generate lengths for the HV cables. The totals are 150 ft for TOF and 164 ft for the trigger. There is a detailed list of the assumptions used in this calculation.

There is currently a semi-final design of the layout of the cable trays feeding from the ports to the counting house and inside the tunnel.

Racks

The design of racks is now rapidly converging. Please check to make sure that the racks you need are included. Rochester has generously offered to permanently loan racks for Phobos.

Power

Power, power, who wants power? check out the list of current assignments of power, including lots of remaining questions. There is a separate list of the power outlets available at each rack.

Workstations

We also need to decide the assignment of the Workstations in the counting house. A preliminary layout had room for up to seven.

Photos

You can now view PHOTOS of ongoing facilities work at the 10 o'clock area.

Archival Info

Design of facilities in now entering a rapidly developing stage.  This list will be updated regularly with current design information.

An early version of the facilities list will give you an idea of  all the items that will eventually appear.

During the December, 1997 floor/facilities meeting at BNL, Robert Pak took some photos of the floor layout which will help people get oriented to how the experiment will fit on the floor. These photos are available for your viewing pleasure.  Note that these photos predate the change to angled supports for the spectrometer arms.

There is some stuff from the old web page available here: Facilities Design Information. For some reason, when this was transferred to the new page, the figures and figure links got lost. The information will be restored eventually..
