Convoluted Landau + Gauss Fit

The aim of this function is to extract a most probable signal value and distribution width. For some tests, i.e. specially for comparision of normalized characteristic energy desposition at fixed momentum, the most probable value is a more reliable than the mean of the signal distribution.

The fit is based on a numerial approximation of the landau distribution (DENLAN - CERNLIB function G110) which is convoluted with a gauss distribution, which accounts for electronic noise contributions to the signal and gaussian parts in the energy deposition.

The function fits location and width of landau part together with the sigma of the gaussian part. The output gives the peak of the distribution,i.e. the most probable signal, the FWHM of the fit and its normalization.

This function is called e.g. by the event processing in our test data analysis.
