The Seventh International Workshop on Radiation Safety at Synchrotron Radiation Sources (RadSynch13) is being organized at the National Synchrotron Light Source, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY11973, USA, from May 8-10, 2013. This is the seventh conference in this series. The previous conferences were held at APS (2001), ESRF (2002), Spring8 (2004), CLS (2007), Elettra (2009) and PAL (2011).
Presently there are nearly 38 operating Synchrotron Radiation Sources in the world with a large scientific user community. There are also several more Synchrotron Radiation Sources in different stages of design, construction and commissioning. These workshops established a forum where the experts of radiation safety at the Synchrotron Radiation sources can meet and discuss the specific radiation safety and protection issues of the facilities. This kind of dialogue immensely benefits the design, operation and upgrade of the present and future Synchrotron Radiation Facilities and beamlines.
Attendees are invited to present a talk on the following topics pertaining to accelerators and beam lines of Synchrotron Radiation Sources. We expect to be able to accommodate a limited number of contributed talks. If you are interested in presenting a contributed talk, you must submit your abstract by March 1st. Abstract submissions will be closed after March 1st, so please carefully consider the topic you would like to present.
Registered attendees are invited to attend the optional banquet dinner after the Workshop on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Ramada Plaza (formerly Crowne Plaza) in Holtsville, NY; free of charge for registered participants. Directions
