The annual RHIC & AGS Users' Meeting will be held this year June 7-11 at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). This year is especially historic. On June 10 and 11, in association with the Annual Users’ Meeting, BNL will host a celebration entitled "90-50-10." The event will celebrate the 90th birthday of Ernest Courant (of “strong focusing” fame), the 50th anniversary of the startup of the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (home of three of the Lab's Nobel Prizes), and the 10th anniversary of Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider operations.
The talks will focus on past accomplishments as well as the future of physics at Brookhaven. We expect five Nobel Prize-winners to attend, and we hope you will be able to join them at this joyful celebration.
The first two days of the meeting, June 7-8, will consist of five parallel workshops. On Wednesday, June 9th, the Users’ Organization is co-sponsoring a special Symposium on Educational Outreach with the National Users Facility Organization (NUFO) who will also be holding their meeting at BNL on June 7-9, 2010.
