The purpose of this Conference is to bring together theoretical physicists working on matter in extreme conditions as found in the early Universe, the interior of compact stars and in heavy ion collisions. New results from the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider experiments, results coming from lattice calculations on a new generation of Teraflops computers as well as results from perturbative and non-perturbative analytic studies of thermal field theories in and out-off equilibrium will be discussed at this conference.
