12th International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI 2015)

Process for Hosting SRI 2018

International Conference for Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI) is a premier conference series for the synchrotron and free electron laser light source community world-wide. It is held every three years, with the current one being held in New York City, July 6-10, 2015, hosted by National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II).

The next conference in this triennial series will be in 2018. Light Source facilities interested in hosting the SRI 2018 Conference should send a Letter of Intent to the SRI 2015 Conference Coordinator, stating their interests to develop a detailed proposal to host the Conference in 2018.

The proposal for SRI 2018 should be submitted by a representative of the proposing light source facility to the SRI 2015 Conference Coordinator before June 30, 2015. It is expected that the facility representative (typically the Facility Director or his/her designee) of each proposal will make a ~10-15 minute presentation of their proposal to the International Advisory Committee (IAC) of the SRI Conference series at the IAC Dinner on Wednesday, July 8. The IAC will vote on all the proposals and make their selection for the 2018 Conference.

The winning proposal will be announced at the closing session of the SRI 2015, Friday, July 10. A presentation will be given by the host facility to welcome delegates to the next Conference.
