Jazmin Aguado-Sierra
Talk Title: In silico trials as a reality: the case of the cardiovascular system
Dr. Aguado-Sierra, born in Mexico City, she obtained her PhD at Imperial College London, and continued Post-Doctoral stays at University of California San Diego, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. She has devoted her entire career to the creation and use of mathematical modelling of the cardiovascular system to understand human physiology and pathophysiology. She has developed high fidelity, multi-scale, multi-physics, high-performance computing frameworks that can predict the cardiac safety of drugs. She is currently a Lead Scientist at ELEM Biotech.
