Meifeng Lin
Dr. Meifeng Lin is a Distinguished Computational Scientist with over 15 years of experience in advanced computing research. Currently serving as the Chair of the Computational Science Department and Director of the Digital Twins Institute in the Computing and Data Sciences Directorate at BNL, she oversees strategic planning and manages multidisciplinary research teams working on the intersection of high-performance computing, AI/ML, digital twins and scientific applications. Prior to her current role, she held several research and leadership positions, including as an assistant computational scientist at Argonne Leadership Computing Facility and the Group Leader of the High Performance Computing group at BNL's Computational Science Initiative.
Lin’s academic background includes a BS in Physics from Peking University, a PhD in theoretical particle physics from Columbia University, and postdoctoral research positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University and Boston University. She is also an Adjunct faculty member of the Institute of Advanced Computational Science at Stony Brook University.
