Professor Mahajan is currently directing the development of Enhanced and Comprehensive Connected Care as part of Pan-India quality improvement drive.

Professor Mahajan has worked in laying foundations of international organisations such as National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA), Health Services Research Centre (HSRC) and Centre of Perioperative Care (CPOC) in the UK; for these achievements, he recently received honour of CBE (Commander of the order of British Empire) from King Charles.

Professor Mahajan has co-authored 5 books and over 250 scientific publications in high-impact international journals.
