"Target Concepts for Future High-Power Proton Beams"

Presented by Adrian Fabich, CERN

Thursday, April 28, 2005, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Existing solid static targets can not cope with the increasing input power of primary proton beams in order to achieve the secondary particle flux required for future high-energy physics research. This presentation explains novel target concepts with emphasis on the usage of liquids and describes ongoing target R&D.
