Particle Physics Seminar

"Improving Our Knowledge of Neutrino Mixing Parameters"

Presented by Patrick Huber, University of Wisconsin

Thursday, September 15, 2005, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

I will discuss the potential and physics reach of current and planned neutrino oscillation experiments. A special emphasis will be a fair comparison of facilities based on a state-of-the-art analysis. Especially interesting in this context are the measurement of the small, reactor mixing angle theta_13, since its value will determine the feasibility of measurements of leptonic CP violation and the mass hierarchy.
