"Status of the MINOS Experiment"

Presented by Mark Dierckxsens, BNL - Physics Department

Thursday, November 10, 2005, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

In the beginning of 2005, the MINOS experiment started to shoot neutrinos from Fermilab to a detector about 735km away. By comparing the measured energy spectrum with the one obtained from a detector located close to the production target, neutrino oscillation parameters can be
studied in greater detail. During this talk, I will discuss the current status of the experiment.
