"Advanced Event Analysis Methods at the Energy Frontier"

Presented by Reinhard Schwienhorst, Fermilab,, Germany

Thursday, December 8, 2005, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

While the size of datasets collected at the highest energy colliders is ever increasing, it is taking many years to reach another order of magnitude. In order to get the most out of data in hand, we are turning more and more to advanced analysis methods. This is in particular true
for light Higgs boson searches at the Tevatron and the LHC. I will present several multivariate analysis techniques currently in use and explain their proper application.
