"Constraints Induced by Finite Plasma Formation Time on Some Physical Observables at RHIC"

Presented by Vlad Pantuev, Stony Brook University

Tuesday, January 10, 2006, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

We will show how plasma formation time of the order of 2-3 fm/c is naturally commimg from experimental data. Will demonstrate that many experimental features at high pt can be explained, such as: nuclear modification factor, its saturation at p_t> 4 GeV/c, azimuthal assymetry (v_2), di-jet correlations. A possible impact on interpretation of the non-photonic electrons and J/psi data will be also considered.
