KamLAND (the Kamioka Liquid scintillator AntiNeutrino Detector, located in the Kamioka mine in Japan) detects antineutrinos from distant nuclear power reactors. This
results provide clear evidence for neutrino oscillations with manmade neutrino sources and precise constraints on the neutrino masses and mixing angles. In addition, we have recently obtained the first glimpse of antineutrinos emitted by radioactive elements within the earth. Recent
results as well as future opportunities, including studying solar neutrinos and supernova neutrinos, will be discussed.
