The collision energy dependence of key observables is one of the main handles for understanding production and evolution of QCD matter. Together with RHIC, the LHC and FAIR@GSI will explore a vast range in sqrt(s), over which fundamental changes in initial conditions and the nature of the produced medium are expected. The workshop will focus on a comprehensive overview of the observed and predicted trends in the energy dependence of key signatures.
