"First Measurements of the Exclusive Decays of Y(5S) to B(*)B(*)(pi)(pi) Final States and Improved Bs* Mass Measurement"

Presented by Hongshan Zhang, Syracuse University

Thursday, November 2, 2006, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Using 420 pb-1 of data collected on the Y(5S) resonance in CLEO, we exploit exclusive reconstruction of B mesons in 25 channels to measure or set upper limits on the decay of the Y(5S) into B(*)B(*)(pi)(pi) final states for the first time in the world. We also extract the most precise value of the Bs* mass to date.

An introduction to the BTeV RICH will also be presented, which leads to Beam Test results we got in Fermi Lab.
