"Sourcery, Targetry, Polarimetry: Tools for Polarization Studies at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory"

Presented by Prof. Thomas B. Clegg, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory

Thursday, December 14, 2006, 4:00 pm — Large Conference Room, Bldg. 911B

Spin-polarized beams and targets have been used at low-energies since 1970 at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory to explore intricacies of nuclear forces. This talk will survey the devices and methods used, and other systems being developed presently. Experimental highlights will illustrate significant advances.
