Tuesday, June 19, 2007, 9:00 am — Large Seminar Room, Bldg. 510
This workshop will cover all aspects of hard physics in A+A, d+Au and baseline p+p collisions wih a concentration on the measurement and interpretation of jet quenching in heavy ion collisions. The program will consist of a mixture of experimental and theoretical talks on a variety of topics including: single high-pt hadron and photon production and suppression in heavy ion collisions, di- hadron correlations and di-jet suppression, di-jet distortion and 3- hadron correlations, photon-hadron correlations and forward hadron production at moderate pt. The workshop will attempt to answer the question "what can we learn about the properties of the medium by measuring medium-induced energy loss at RHIC?
