"Searches for Standard Model Higgs Production Associated with Vector Bosons at D0"

Presented by Shaohua Fu, FNAL

Thursday, September 6, 2007, 3:00 pm — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Here presented are the preliminary results on searches for the light mass Standard Model Higgs boson associated production with W or Z boson from the D0 experiment at Fermilab. Using an integrated luminosity of 1-2 fb^-1, we search for a Higgs boson in processes of WH -> lnubb, ZH -> llbb, and ZH -> nunubb at sqrt(s) = 1.96 TeV. Advanced analysis techniques like neural networks are used to improve signal discrimination. No significant excess over the background expectation is observed, and we set the upper limits on the cross section of Higgs production at the 95% confidence level.
