"Search for K0L->pi0 nu nubar by KEK E391a"

Presented by Takao Shinkawa, National Defense Academy

Thursday, August 7, 2008, 3:00 pm — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Recent results on a search for the decay KL->pi0 nu nubar by KEK E391a at the 12-GeV PS is presented. This decay is a flavor changing neutral current process and is caused by direct CP violation. The branching ratio is predicted to be (2.76+-0.40) x 10-11. No candidate events were found. An upper limit on the branching ratio for the decay was set to be 6.7x10-8 at the 90% confidence level. This search will be continued with modified E391a detector at J-PARC by E14.Present status of E14 is also presented.
