Nuclear Physics Seminar

"Physics with Astronomical Surveys"

Presented by John Haggerty, Brookhaven National Laboratory

Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

New telescopes coupled with large detectors are poised to map the sky to
unprecedented precision and depth. The data from these telescopes are
sure to lead to a host of astronomical discoveries and also create new
opportunities to study the physics of gravitation, dark matter, and dark
energy.
