Symmetry of the superconducting gap in iron-pnictides superconductors from penetration depth study

Using an rf-resonator technique, the temperature dependence of London penetration depth for some of the newly discovered iron-pnictides superconductors was measured. In NdFeAsO1-xFx (Nd-111), penetration depth shows exponential behavior at low temperature, apparently signature of s-wave symmetry. Superfluid density however, is best described by a fully gaped but slightly anisotropic order parameter. Contrary, penetration depth of Ba1-xKxFe2As2 (BaK-122) and that of BaFe2-xCoxAs2 (FeCo-122) show power-law temperature dependence down to T=0.02Tc. Possible symmetries of the gap consistent with such behavior and comparison with results from other techniques (ARPES, Point Contact Spectroscopy) will be discussed.
