Particle Physics Seminar

"Some Fundamental New Physics at Low Energies"

Presented by Dr. William Marciano, Physics Dept., Brookhaven National Laboratory

Thursday, February 26, 2009, 3:00 pm — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Precision electroweak measurements at low energies and searches for rare or forbidden reactions test the Standard Model and probe for New Physics effects. An overview of those tests and how they provide complementarity to anticipated LHC discoveries will be given.

Topics discussed will include: CKM Unitarity, electron-muon universality, muon capture and electromagnetic dipole and transition moments.

Hosted by: Dr. Larry Trueman
